The blog of course, not me. Me, I got chickenpox... at this age, yes. I'm recovering though.
So, in a nifty mood swing I decided it's time to give this blog a new layout. One that I've been thinking about for a while, based on this big idea. That is... whether I can call my pictures "art" if I show them in bigger size. Make them look more important and stuff. I mean, art galleries do it so why can't we?
But seriously, it's about efficiency. Beside here I post my pictures on some other places and it's been a pain to edit pictures to different sizes for each site I submit to. This way I'll only have to resize once for all of them. So here they are, now a whopping 900 pixels wide (yeah, you better watch out, Big Picture!) Photo thefts be damned. I mean, who's gonna steal some pictures by some unknown guy of some random scenes on the street or some people you don't know right? RIGHT?
Anyway, pictures. From about two weeks ago, mom suddenly felt like going to beach so we did. These are not important but as I said, let's just pretend they are because they're big.
....Man, I miss going to the beach with my friends. :(

Neat looking page with big pictures, gotta love it. Definitely a good move.
900px is just nice, I decided to keep mine to 800px just because I wanted to stick with picasa. Photobucket is almost unlimited, owned by Google as well. But I found out that it's being blocked by some companies. I usually found that it's not that reliable, mostly it shows thumbnails, especially if the traffic is high.
Flickr is not bad, I am not sure why I didn't use it. Maybe because it was blocked by the company I worked for previously.
Off all those sites, picasa, photobucket and flickr, the term of use grants the site to use (royalty-free) any photos we upload. But I don't think it matters for now as there is no other choice. 8->
big = serious business. looks much better indeed. actually, I've been thinking to do the same move.
and beach photos are good, too.
get well soon!
after i thought i'd go for 700 i saw some big picture blogs and really got to like the bigger size. just looks more generous and you get to study the details. also like when i don't have to click on a photo to see it bigger. few photos but bigger, i like that. your design looks sweet, now that it's not a standard-design it got more character. so .. you're doing well, keep it up! i'll join you some time soon in the ranks of the big blogs :p
nice layout
i will think for about it
i mean for next week

Hmm, haven't stumbled into any troubles with Photobucket so far. Flickr's nice, but it loads pretty slow on my place... and I'm not quite fond of Picasa's interface (also, I use too many Google's products already :D)
As for that royalty-free term, yeah I read that one, but doesn't it only apply to contents which aren't marked private? Anyway, in any case, there's literally billions of images in there and one's gotta be really *lucky* (..or unlucky) to have his images picked out of that number. Now aren't you glad you don't shoot sunsets or macros. ;)
@Artis:
Serious business indeed. I dunno if this thing works for lotsa photos like you usually do, you gotta try it. Thanks man!
@Seb:
Ha, yeah, jump on the bandwagon mate, it's fun. Small pictures are so 2007. :p
